Our Visions
The vision for FBCJ’s Youth Ministry is to be fully surrendered to God as He shapes and equips both present and future youth leaders to serve faithfully. We seek to walk alongside students as they grow in a personal relationship with Christ, guiding and encouraging the next generation to know Him, trust Him, and follow Him wholeheartedly. We desire to cultivate a youth ministry that is Christ-centered, rooted in worship, and filled with joy. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where every student feels valued, accepted, and free from judgment. In this space, students are encouraged to discover their identity in Christ, ask honest and meaningful questions, express their faith openly, and worship freely. Ultimately, we pray this ministry becomes a second home, a place where students feel loved, supported, and continually drawn closer to Jesus.
- Youth Leaders (bonus, if you have a love & talent for worship + tech)
- Sunday School Teachers
*any Youth Leaders or Sunday School Teachers (18+) will need to be background checked and approved by our Youth Director.
*If you are wanting be a Sunday School Teacher you will need to be voted in by the church.
Serving
Others:
- Youth Students must help out at Church events (Ex. Fall Festival, VBS, etc.)
- The Youth will also particapte in community outreach programs with the church (Ex: Lowcountry Orphan Relief & Habitat for Humanities)
What to
expect:
- During our Sunday School, we go through a lesson in our Sunday School book & have a time of prayer and fellowship at the end
- During our Sunday night Youth Group, we start by attending worship in the CLC, then make our way over to the Old Sanctuary to play a game & then we head into our sermon which is lead by our Youth Director. Students are encouraged to bring a Bible if they have one. If they need one please let one of our Youth Leaders know!
- Also, before & after our youth group, there is plenty of time to enjoy our snack station, gaming station & ping pong table. There are endless ways to have fellowship with your friends and ways to meet some new people as well!
